Why do I have to pay membership dues?

The NDCA is a not-for-profit organization run by volunteer dance coaches and professionals who are voted on or appointed. All membership dues are used to help members by developing resources, communicating, recruiting, and building our organization.

What is included in my membership?

There are three membership levels for Primary (coaches) and Associate (choreographers, consultants, retirees/advocates, and other dance professionals) Members.  Please study the various options available (see graphic) and select the one that best fits your needs.

How long will I have access to all of the benefits of my NDCA membership?

Effective May 21, 2017, the NDCA is implementing rolling membership. Your new membership will be effective for a year after payment is processed. This means you will be able to join at any time of year and receive a full year of membership, which includes member pricing for the Annual Conference.

How does membership renewal work?

Your membership will be extended for one year provided a renewal is processed before the membership expires (anniversary date). If a renewal is received after the membership has expired, the new expiration date of your membership will be one year after the renewal.

If you renew prior to your anniversary date, your anniversary date will not change. If you renew after your anniversary date, your new anniversary date will be the date that your membership renewal is submitted and your dues are paid.

Here’s what our members have to say about the NDCA:

provide opportunities

The NDCA is an association that will bring together ALL STATES and unite us as a dance community. Some states have strong organizations that provide coaches with resources to help them, but many are simply not developed. I notice that overall, the states that have strong associations have more opportunities for dancers and also often have a higher degree of performance excellence. Membership in the NDCA will provide opportunities for all teams in all states to access resources that can help them reach their full potential.

I became a member of the NDCA because I feel it is important for all of us to join forces and share ideas

I became a member of the NDCA because I feel it is important for all of us to join forces and share ideas. Coaches and choreographers work hand-in-hand to create the best possible experience for dancers. Often, people move between the job of coach and choreographer. Working with each other through the NDCA allows us to inspire each other, grow as coaches, and influence others in the dance team world.

Former Coach / Owner, TRA Choreography

The NDCA is exactly what our industry needs

The NDCA is exactly what our industry needs. I’ve been a part of the dance team industry on all levels (first a dancer, then a coach, now a choreographer). I love that the NDCA has the ability to unite us all, despite various levels of experience - it will give us a powerful voice. I’m looking forward to the NDCA Conference and being able to develop a fellowship with others who share my passion for all things dance team. If you’re thinking about joining- stop thinking and DO IT!

I cannot speak enough about the importance of belonging to the NDCA

I cannot speak enough about the importance of belonging to the NDCA! As dance coaches, we experience both the challenges and triumphs that are completely unique to our arena. The sharing of experiences and knowledge among literally hundreds of coaches from all over the country is invaluable! The opportunity to spend time with our peers and to walk away from the experience feeling recharged, refreshed, and more passionate than ever is truly a gift!

Head Coach (27 years) / Brigham Young University Cougarettes - Provo, UT

Excited

As coaches we all have similar experiences and deal with very similar challenges. I’m excited about the NDCA because even as a very ‘seasoned’ coach, it is invigorating to learn from other coaches and share ideas. I feel it helps me stay current and gives me ideas to keep my dancers motivated. I'm excited to be a part of such a groundbreaking organization.
