How To Nominate Associate Member of the Year

NDCA Associate Member of the Year Award

One of the purposes of the NDCA is to recognize, honor, and award people in our profession who have excelled in their respective dance team leadership position.  The NDCA will be naming an Associate Member of the Year to (1) individual.  This person can be a Judge, Choreographer, Consultant, Retiree, Partner, or anyone outside of coaching who has made an impact on the dance team world.

To be considered, nominees must be a member of the NDCA and have worked in the profession for at least five years. Nominators do not have to be NDCA members (for example, a school administrator could nominate a judge).

The Associate Member of the Year will receive a contemporary art design award. The NDCA will also feature their accomplishments on the Association’s website and in social media postings.

Nominations are due each year by December 31.  Nominees will be notified by March 1 that they are on the ballot for selection by the NDCA General Membership.  Voting will take place online the last two weeks of March (only current NDCA members will vote).  All nominees will be introduced at the Gala during the annual NDCA Coaches Conference, and the winner will be announced live on stage.

To nominate a person for Associate Member of the Year, please complete the online nomination form which includes a written statement of no more than 500 words explaining why this person should be considered.

When writing your nomination, please focus on what contribution or impact this person has made on the Dance Team world.
